Oliver is a University graduate
with over 15 years’ experience in
ERM and HSE management coupled with strong
operational skills. He has led numerous
risk management consulting, ERM, HSE, strategic,
legal and project risk engagements including
project governance and due diligence across
multiple industries. Oliver has gained international
experience in South Africa, Europe, Australia,
Africa, North America (US & Canada),
Russia, the UK and South America.
Oliver’s clients have ranged from
multinational mining companies to organisations
in industries that include paper, retail,
banking, food & beverage, and government.
Before founding Mondial, Oliver was a Director
of a large corporate company where he managed
a large professional team of specialist
consultants, new business, and new products
as well as high level client liaison and
co-ordination.
At Mondial Oliver heads up the new specialist
risk and business consultancy, while remaining
directly accountable for the delivery of
various clients’ risk management consulting
requirements at all levels.
He is a member of the South African Risk
Manager’s Association (IRMSA) and
is a registered lead auditor in the UK.

Johan is a University graduate
with over 30 years’ experience in
law, corporate communications, as well as
risk and project management.
Before the formation of Mondial in 2008,
Johan was employed for a period of 20 years
by one of the world’s largest resource
companies. During this period his main areas
of focus were law, corporate governance
and risk management. He was the Risk Manager
for one of this organisation’s major
divisions for a period of 10 years as well
as the Company Secretary for the last 12
years of his service with the same group
of companies.
Johan qualified and was admitted as an Attorney
of the High Court of South Africa in 1984
and practiced law and intellectual property
law at two of Johannesburg’s leading
law firms. He has excellent communication
and negotiation skills and has an acute
awareness of South African social issues. |

Zano is a risk specialist
with Mondial Consultants; he has 10 years’
experience in risk management, internal
audit and finance across multiple business
sectors.
He received his training with Ernst &
Young Chartered Accountants where he did
his articles and undertook audit assignments
at the level of lead auditor for clients
that ranged from mining, manufacturing,
retail, non-governmental (NGOs) and financial
services organisations.
As a risk practitioner he was the Compliance
and Risk Manager, then General Manager Risk
for two commercial banking operations. His
role included developing and implementing
an enterprise risk management framework,
identifying risks and developing tools to
analyse, quantify and mitigate these risks
within the context of the organisation’s
strategic and operational objectives.
Zanorashe experience as a consultant includes
in-depth knowledge and exposure to risk
management in the national, local and municipal
government spheres. He researched and drafted
learners’ and trainers’ manuals
for the South African Qualifications Authority
accredited Unit Standards in Municipal Risk
Management, Audit Planning and Internal
Controls. These three unit standards are
part of what is required to obtain the qualification,
Certificate in Municipal Finance Management,
NQF Level 6. |

Ernst is a University graduate
and Certified Internal Auditor with a Certificate
in Control Self-Assessment from the Institute
of Internal Auditors. He has over 21 years’
experience in Risk Management, Internal
Audit and Compliance consulting services
rendered to a wide range of clients.
Ernst has gained most of his experience
while being employed by KPMG where he was
a Senior Manager in the Internal Audit,
Risk and Compliance Services Business Unit.
He lead and performed assignments across
Africa at organisations in the mining, energy,
industrial, manufacturing and communications
sectors as well as all three spheres of
government.
As ERM consultant Ernst facilitates risk
assessment workshops, develops and facilitates
the implementation of risk management frameworks,
including selection and customization of
risk software. Furthermore he also performs
ERM process maturity assessments and facilitates
risk management training. In addition, Ernst
has been integral in the development of
risk management systems and ERM process
maturity assessments in a number of software
platforms.
Ernst previously was a financial manager,
having responsibility for HR and IT and
has significant experience in Internal Auditing,
Internal Audit training and general business
management consulting.
At Mondial Ernst is directly accountable
for the delivery of various clients’
risk management consulting requirements
at all levels.
He is a member of the Institute of Internal
Auditors (IIA). |

Yusuf Jassat

Yusuf Jassat (B Com) is a
University graduate with 7 years of IT experience,
5 of which have been spent at a leading
GRC/ERM software development company.
Yusuf has gained most of his experience
while employed at a leading GRC/ERM software
development house where he was a senior
project manager. He oversaw both international
and locally registered projects in the organisation
and ensured that these were completed within
budget and on time. He has managed projects
for clients in various sectors of industry
including mining, petroleum, banking, freight,
telecommunication and government. Being
involved in the various industries provided
Yusuf with a wide range of risk management
experience and its practical application
in the various industries.
Yusuf was previously a project manager at
one of the 4 major banks in South Africa
where he was responsible for the planning,
mobilisation, management and execution of
large business change projects through the
entire Business Change Lifecycle, using
the bank’s internal risk based project
management process. |
